About Me
Dr. Kessens grew up in Bloomington and is a graduate of DePauw University. She earned her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. In 2010 and 2013, she participated in the IU-Kenya program for which she traveled to Kenya for two months and worked at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. There, Dr. Kessens learned about global health and led ward rounds and taught interns and medical students. Her husband, Kyle, is a pharmacist whom she met in Kenya when they were both students participating in the IU-Kenya program.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, IU basketball, being active outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Doctor is thorough and kind

We had a long wait time for this appointment. We waited over 40 minutes in the main waiting room. This is a long time for a 4 month old and I wanted to breastfeed when she got fussy but didn't feel comfortable to do so in the main waiting area. I understand waiting for the provider but I wish we could have been roomed sooner.

We went to the wrong location and the staff fit us into the schedule so we didn't have to drive around town
