About Me
Dr. Tyler W. Christman is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in:
- Complex developmental and neuromuscular hip reconstruction,
- Pediatric spine deformity (early onset, adolescent, neuromuscular and congenital)
- Pediatric and adolescent orthopedic trauma.
He attended medical school and residency at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. During residency, he also earned a Master of Science in Medical Education. After completing a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis surgery at the University of Michigan, he began practicing at Riley Children’s Health in 2016.
Dr. Christman became a physician because it combines his two passions for learning about the complexities of medicine and providing a service to people. He sees patients from a large variety of diagnoses with multiple levels of abilities and strengths. He believes that upon seeing these patients, they will feel confident in their care, diagnosis and treatment options and will leave with a clear and empowered treatment plan. When Dr. Christman is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, hiking and traveling.
