Dr. Robert J. Bielski is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in:

  • Pediatric fractures
  • Congenital foot and ankle conditions, including clubfoot
  • Hip disorders such as hip dysplasia and Perthes disease
  • Treatment of cerebral palsy
  • General pediatric orthopedic conditions

He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University. He then did a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Bielski began practicing in 1991, and joined Riley Children’s Health in 2019.

Bielski’s interest in medicine and orthopedic surgery stems from an elbow injury he received in high school from a bicycle accident. While his recovery time in the hospital was difficult, he credits his orthopedic surgeon for remaining positive and serving as a good role model. He enjoys working with children as their bones can heal quickly, and he finds gratification in seeing a patient get back to their normal activities.

When Bielski is not practicing medicine, he enjoys cycling and spending time with his family and children who live across the Midwest.

Doc and his staff are all amazing. The only thing that we find difficult, is trying to align appointments since we drive so far. Dr. B.'s office has always done their best to work with us.
